The legislative elections in Côte d'Ivoire took place this Saturday, March 6.

Seven and a half million voters were called upon to elect their deputies.

The main political forces took part in these legislative elections which took place in peace.

On site, our correspondents and special envoys recorded a mixed attendance.

The voting operations took place without major incidents.

Some delays at the start this morning, due to the delay of assessors or voting material.

Some signs of nervousness all the same, at times also, with sometimes some altercations reported here and there as in Plateau or Port-Bouet, near the HQ of a candidate where three wounded were reported this morning.

However, overall, everything has been going smoothly in Abidjan so far.

Voters did not rush to the polling stations in droves.

Few people this morning, in Cocody or Yopougon for example;

a little more people in the communes of Koumassi, Plateau or Port-Bouet and few young people elsewhere, rather people in the prime of life among the voters that we met.

Mixed attendance, depending on the location, despite calls from all political leaders to go to the polls for the first inclusive legislative elections in 25 years.
