Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - Greens parliamentary group leader Cornelia Lüddemann has called for Saxony-Anhalt to be faster in vaccination and testing.

Appointments in the vaccination centers must be faster and not just a few general practitioners should vaccinate, but everyone, said Lüddemann on Saturday at a digital small party conference.

And the company doctors should also be involved.

"We have so many resources in this country and I really wonder why they are not being used."

It could not be that thousands of vaccine doses are in the dump.

Vaccination and testing are the prerequisites for easing measures in the corona pandemic.

Lüddemann criticized that the country was too slow in obtaining quick and self-tests.

Municipal test centers are needed that can be docked to the vaccination centers.

It has to be tested in authorities, in parking lots and in shopping centers.

"A table has to be set up and then it has to start," said Lüddemann.

Minister of Social Affairs Petra Grimm-Benne (SPD) has not yet secured a purchase option for rapid tests or self-tests.

"Unfortunately, I'm afraid that there is a risk of a debacle like last year with the masks," said Lüddemann, who is running as the green top candidate in the state elections on June 6th.
