Cerrone, author of the disco anthem "Supernature", wrote to the Minister of Culture Roselyne Bachelot to challenge him on the actors of "dance culture", that is to say the clubs, discotheques and DJs, abandoned in the face of the health crisis .

"The impact of the Covid crisis on culture is a cataclysm", writes the artist, who wants to carry a voice "that we do not hear", that of "clubs, discotheques around the world, (of ) DJs, and all those who work alongside them: the + dance culture + ".

"I can definitely not be silent in front of the feeling of abandonment and the lack of recognition from which this sector suffers", continues Cerrone, who broadcast this missive Saturday at midday on his social networks and those of his label Because.

And to underline the fate of the DJs "often in a precarious employment situation, who find themselves today, for the majority of them, without any resources".

"Every day brings its share of bad news, announcements of final closings and bankruptcies," he insists.
