(Fighting New Coronary Pneumonia) Cambodia's new round of severe community infection situation donated materials from the Chinese Embassy

  China News Service, Phnom Penh, March 6 (Reporter Ouyang Kaiyu) The Cambodian Ministry of Health said on the 6th that 21 new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia were reported in the country on the same day, and 2 new cases were cured and discharged. The new round of community infection is still severe.

  The newly reported confirmed cases that day were all related to the "2.20" community infection incident.

Among them, 10 cases are in Sihanoukville Port and 11 cases are in Phnom Penh City.

To help Cambodia prevent the epidemic, the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia donated anti-epidemic materials to major medical institutions in Cambodia.

  Li Jie, Counselor and Consul General of the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia, recently donated more than 10,000 medical protective masks to the Cambodia-Su Friendship Hospital, the Cambodian National Tuberculosis Center, and the Phnom Penh Chang Xia Medical Center on behalf of the embassy. Thank them for actively cooperating with the embassy to contract the new crown. Chinese citizens with pneumonia provide convenience for medical treatment and actively treat them. It is hoped that the protective masks provided by the embassy can play an active role in improving the anti-epidemic capabilities of the three medical institutions and better protecting the health and safety of their staff.

  The heads of the three medical institutions thanked the Chinese Embassy for their understanding and support of Cambodia’s work and their care and concern for the Cambodian medical staff, and expressed that they would continue to maintain close communication and cooperation with the embassy to provide Chinese patients with thoughtful medical services.

  In addition, as the number of confirmed cases in Sihanoukville continues to increase, in order to help the Sihanoukville Provincial Government fight the epidemic, Jiang Kexing, Secretary General of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Sihanoukville, on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce donated masks and disposable protection to the Sihanoukville Provincial Government. Anti-epidemic materials such as gloves, medical alcohol, medical alcohol spray, and disposable hand sanitizer express the determination of the Sihanoukville Chinese Chamber of Commerce to stand together with the Sihanoukville government and people to overcome the difficulties.

  As of the morning of March 6, a total of 953 cases have been confirmed in Cambodia, 491 cases have been cured, and 461 cases have been treated in the hospital.

A total of 446 cases have been confirmed in the "2.20" incident, 95 of which were in Sihanoukville Port.
