Hamburg (dpa) - The severely weakened handball players from Buxtehuder SV have overcome their dry spell in the Bundesliga.

After three defeats and two draws, coach Dirk Leun's team won 30:26 (13:13) against HSG Bad Wildungen Vipers on Saturday.

The best throwers in the home arena were Johanna Heldmann and Teresa von Prittwitz, each with six hits.

Goalkeeper Katharina Filter also played a major role in the success.

After a largely balanced first half, the BSV took a three-goal lead at the beginning of the second round.

But the guests managed to catch up again within a short time.

Up until ten minutes before the end, both teams were on an equal footing.

Heldmann with two hits and Lisa Antl then took care of the interim 27:24 lead of the BSV and thus for the preliminary decision.
