From Monday, Hamburg will be offering free rapid antigen tests once a week.
For this a number of test centers, pharmacies and general practitioners' practices could be won, as the social authority announced on Saturday.
In a first step, more than 25,000 daily antigen tests are initially possible, and 14,000 daily PCR tests for any subsequent tests that may be required.
The offer is to be expanded gradually, it said.
According to the information, registration for the test in a test center must be made online beforehand via the respective websites of the providers. Appointments for rapid tests in one of the general practitioners' practices can be made on 116 117.
