Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - 200 new corona infections were reported to the Ministry of Social Affairs in Magdeburg from Friday to Saturday.

In addition, 13 deaths were registered in connection with the virus.

According to the Ministry of Social Affairs, the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants reported within seven days, the so-called seven-day incidence, is currently 91.03, slightly below the value on Friday (94.50).

Nationwide, the Robert Koch Institute reported a value of 65.6 on Saturday morning.

It is thus slightly higher than that of the previous day (65.4) and that of Saturday last week (63.8).

Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 62,617 corona cases have been recorded in Saxony-Anhalt, 2528 people have died from or with the virus.

87 intensive care and ventilation beds in the hospitals are occupied by Covid-19 patients, 47 of them are ventilated.

Since the vaccination started at the end of 2020, 119,673 people across the country have received the first injection, and 59,993 also the second.

According to the Ministry of Social Affairs, 3965 first vaccinations were added on Friday.

The rate for this is currently 5.45 percent, that for the second vaccinations is 2.73 percent.
