  The 7 newly diagnosed patients are all male fishermen, of which 2 are Indonesian and 5 are Filipino nationals, aged in their 20s to 40s. They came to Taiwan to work on February 19 this year and they all had 3 before boarding. The test report was negative within the day and there were no symptoms of discomfort upon entry. After entry, they went to the centralized quarantine station for quarantine; 7 people were quarantined before the expiration of the quarantine period on March 4, and the diagnosis was confirmed on the 6th.

  The command center pointed out that the new death was a 60-year-old Taiwanese man with a history of diabetes and hypertension. He became ill in Myanmar on December 24 last year, was diagnosed on the 29th, and was hospitalized on the 30th. On January 27 this year, his symptoms relieved. Discharged from the hospital; later due to breathing difficulties again, he was hospitalized in the local area on February 3, and returned to Taiwan on February 7 for treatment. The diagnosis was confirmed by the hospital.

Unfortunately, he died on March 5 due to multiple organ failure.

  In addition, Vietnam notified the emergence of a confirmed case of new coronary pneumonia entering Taiwan from Taiwan.

The Taiwan Epidemic Command Center stated that relevant epidemic investigations have been launched.

  According to statistics from the command center, there have been a total of 177,227 new coronary pneumonia-related notifications in Taiwan so far (including 174,887 cases excluded), of which 967 cases have been confirmed.

Of the confirmed cases, 10 died, 932 were released from isolation, and 25 were hospitalized in isolation.
