This weekend was to symbolize the acceleration of vaccination in France with large logistical resources deployed in the territory.

But the doctor Jean-Paul Hamon, general practitioner, honorary president of the Federation of the doctors of France denounces the failures noted this Saturday and since the beginning of the campaign.

INTERVIEW

"It would be nice if the ARS gave us exactly the number of doses they are going to give us."

While Jean Castex has promised to "put the package" on the vaccination against the Covid, the campaign continues to suffer major failures forcing regularly to cancel appointments.

This weekend was to allow a massive vaccination but for Jean-Paul Hamon, general practitioner, honorary president of the Federation of the doctors of France, the promises could not be kept and he judges the situation "unacceptable".

As he explains, at the microphone of Europe 1, he had to compose, at the last moment, with a number of additional doses different from that announced for the Clamart center.

He asks that the "housework be done at the Directorate General of Health"

Jean-Paul Hamon says he was contacted by the Regional Health Agency on Thursday in view of this great vaccination weekend.

According to the latter, the Clamart center would receive 1,800 doses.

The doctor was finally surprised to find that he had only obtained 760. "It is unacceptable to warn on a Thursday at 1 pm that we are going to have 1,800 doses and to have only 760 two days. later ", he denounces, recalling that" the doctors and nurses are mobilized for this Saturday and this Sunday ".

“In terms of logistics, the ARS and the Directorate General of Health still have a lot of progress to make,” tackle Jean-Paul Hamon.

A difficulty that is not limited to this weekend.

"For vaccination in practices, it is unacceptable that we do not know at least a week in advance how many doses we are going to have".

Again, this leads to regular disappointments.

"We take 20 to 30 appointments, we block an entire range to vaccinate and at the last moment we have to cancel", for lack of doses.

So the doctor called for "a little cleaning to be done at the Directorate General of Health".

He believes that "this has been going on for a while. There have been the tests, the masks and now the distribution of vaccines. It is unacceptable".
