In Moscow, from Monday, March 8, a number of restrictive measures introduced earlier to combat the spread of coronavirus infection are canceled.

This was announced by the mayor of the capital Sergei Sobyanin.

“There is such an opportunity - to make a decision to transfer self-isolation for those who are 65 years old or more, and people suffering from chronic diseases, from a mandatory regime to a recommendatory regime and unblock social cards,” Sobyanin wrote in his blog.

At the same time, the mayor turned to these categories of Muscovites.

“Your age and your chronic diseases are at risk.

As before, 700-800 people are hospitalized with COVID-19 in severe form every day.

Therefore, please refrain from travel if possible.

And if you really go somewhere, then first of all to the vaccination points in order to get vaccinated and protect yourself.

Moreover, there are enough vaccination points in Moscow and there are no problems with recording, ”the mayor of the capital explained.

At the end of February, Sergei Sobyanin expressed hope that Moscow had overcome the worst stage of the coronavirus pandemic.

At the same time, Deputy Mayor for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov said that if the current situation with the spread of coronavirus infection continues in Moscow, then restrictive measures to combat the pandemic will be minimized by summer.

In addition, in his blog, Sergei Sobyanin noted that the situation with the pandemic is gradually improving, although there are alarming signals from Brazil and some European countries: “But everything is quite stable here.

God grant that it will continue to be so ”.

“The incidence rate is decreasing every week.

The number of COVID-19 cases detected daily has decreased by almost five times compared to the peaks at the end of last year.

In terms of hospitalizations and other indicators, the spread of the coronavirus has decreased 2-3 times, ”Sobyanin said.

The mayor recalled that a large number of restrictions have already been removed in the Russian capital: catering establishments, museums, theaters and cinemas have started working.

According to him, the activity of Muscovites has increased, more and more people use public transport.

Recall that in the third decade of January, colleges, institutions of additional education, and sports schools returned to their normal operating hours in Moscow.

The work of museums and libraries was resumed, and public events were also allowed (the occupancy of the premises should not exceed 50%).

In addition, the requirement to switch to remote mode of operation of at least 30% of employees of capital companies ceased to be mandatory and restrictions on night work of catering establishments, clubs, bars, discos, karaoke, bowling and other organizations of the leisure and entertainment industry were canceled.

In early February, the capital's registry offices and wedding palaces were reopened as usual.

According to the COVID-19 operational headquarters, Moscow is the leader in Russia in the number of registered cases of coronavirus infection - 987,041, including 1,757 in the last 24 hours.

At the same time, since the beginning of the pandemic, 907,770 people have been discharged to recover.

15,297 patients died from complications that developed against the background of COVID-19 and concomitant diseases.

In Moscow, more than 100 coronavirus vaccination points have been opened on the basis of urban adult clinics, mobile teams are also working, vaccinations can be done in GUM, the My Documents flagship office and shopping centers located in different parts of the capital.

As reported by the press service of the Moscow Department of Health, as of February 26, almost 600 thousand Muscovites were vaccinated.

Yaroslav Nilov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs, believes that the Moscow authorities have made the right decision.

“Many were vaccinated, many were ill, that is, immunity is being developed.

Constantly being in a confined space is psychologically difficult.

We see how the regime is gradually weakening, restrictive measures are gradually being lifted.

This is a positive sign.

But in no case should you relax, you need to be very attentive to your health and observe all precautions, especially for those who are at risk.

We have entered positive dynamics, and the situation is changing in a positive direction.

Now the most important thing is control, attention and responsibility, "said the interlocutor of RT.
