“Based on the results of the first inspections, no signs of an explosion or fire were found in the area of ​​the wreckage,” the statement said.

At the same time, according to meteorological data, in the area of ​​the helicopter crash before its takeoff, no weather conditions were recorded that could negatively affect the flight.

“According to preliminary information, the accident occurred as a result of a sharp change in weather conditions in the region,” the department noted.

The final results will be announced after a technical examination at the crash site.

On March 4, a military helicopter crashed in eastern Turkey, initially reported nine dead and four wounded.
