The vaccination of monkeys in America against "Corona" ... despite the shortage of the human vaccine

The San Diego Zoo in California, USA, announced yesterday (Thursday) that it had vaccinated monkeys with the emerging "Corona" virus, after many gorillas were infected with the virus earlier this year.

The American ABC network said that Zoetis, a pharmaceutical and animal vaccination company, provided the vaccination that was not intended for human use, and the park stated, in a statement, that these were the first known vaccines for monkeys.

And she continued that monkey bites got two doses three weeks apart, similar to the vaccines Moderna and Pfizer for humans, and the park explained that the officials did not see any negative effects.

She pointed out that the health of the gorillas that had contracted the virus "is improving on the way to a full recovery."

The zoo said that the gorilla will not be vaccinated because it has contracted the virus and its immune systems are supposed to have produced antibodies.

And ABC pointed out that there is a shortage of vaccines intended for humans in all states, including California.
