The CSA presented its annual report on the representation of women in the audiovisual industry, and there is still work to be done to achieve parity.

"La Maison France 5", removed from the air in December after 17 years of existence, could be reborn on C8 which should soon turn a pilot with the same host, Stéphane Thébaut.

Finally Matt Groening's series "The Simpsons" will experience two additional seasons, its 33rd and 34th season, a record longevity.

The media newspaper, Antoine.

On the front page, still a lot of work to achieve parity on the air.

This is the observation induced by the annual report of the CSA - report on the representation of women in the audiovisual industry, presented yesterday.

The share of women on the air was 41% last year - radio and television combined - a stable figure compared to 2019. No decline, therefore, but no progress, either.

There is still a long way to go - another figure bears witness to this: that of the speaking time granted to women, on television for example.

They may well be a little more present there (43% of the airtime), they speak less than the men (35% of the speaking time).

In question: old reflexes according to Carole Bienaimé Besse, member of the CSA in charge of these subjects.

There are still some positive points - two mainly: the experts are more and more numerous and women are more present than before in prime time.

Carole Bienaimé Besse rejoices in this assessment - aware of the work accomplished by TV channels and radio stations.

The place of women and more precisely of experts in the media, this will be one of the subjects of Culture Médias, next Monday.

C8 wants to restart a program stopped by another channel.

La Maison France 5 - decoration program withdrawn from the air in December after 17 years of existence.

It is the site of the

Parisian

which announces it.

A pilot will be shot next week - with the same host, Stéphane Thébaut.

If this test appeals to C8 executives, the show could be broadcast in the first part of the evening.

C8 which has already recycled, in recent years, several programs deleted by other channels: “The game of truth”, renamed “Friday Truth”;

“Wanted notice”, now “We meet at Sabatier”;

and more recently, the take it or leave it game.

Three programs which did not stay long on the antenna of C8.

In the news of the media, also, a project of new magazine.

A weekly news magazine with a “punchy” tone and a “centrist” positioning.

Daniel Kretinsky, the owner of “Marianne” and “Elle”, in France, wants to launch it.

Information revealed by Le Point.

Caroline Fourest was contacted to direct it - but the essayist declined.

She explains, on Twitter, wanting to devote more time to writing and film.

The focus of the day is a documentary broadcast tomorrow on Public Senate.

“In the name of heritage” is its title.

You may remember images of destroyed museums in Raqqa or Mosul, of cultural sites ravaged by jihadists - like the one in Palmyra, Syria.

These images, this documentary wants to go beyond them and analyze the deep motivations of terrorists.

These are not the first destruction of cultural property by ideology.

It's been around for thousands of years.

But in recent years, communication has changed.

Extremists have understood the power of the image and of social media - especially in 2015.

Propaganda images that we see again in the documentary, decrypted and analyzed by specialists.

A second part focuses on showing the reconstruction and the mobilization of the inhabitants, attached to their heritage, in Mosul in particular, where the museum is reborn and its population with it.

“In the name of Heritage” documentary by Thomas Raguet is broadcast tomorrow evening on Public Senate at 9pm.

The Simpsons are indestructible!

They were renewed until 2023. Two new seasons for the animated series aired on Fox, in the United States - the 33rd and 34th.

This should bring the number of episodes to 757. A record longevity.

“Bart will therefore be celebrating his 10th birthday for the 33rd and 34th times,” said series creator Matt Groening.
