Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - The cultural institutions of the state of Hesse will open to visitors from March 12th.

This was announced by Culture Minister Angela Dorn (Greens) on Friday.

This applies to the Hessian State Museum Darmstadt, the Wiesbaden Museum, the Hessen-Kassel Museum Landscape, the State Palaces and Gardens and the State Archaeological Museum with the Saalburg and the Celtic World on Glauberg.

Prerequisite: The number of infections within 7 days per 100,000 inhabitants remains stable throughout Hesse below 100.

Appointments must be made for the visit and contact details must be left.

An opening of museums, castles, memorials, animal parks, zoos and botanical gardens is possible from March 8th.

However, since the state's museums and properties would need to be organized in advance, they will open gradually from March 12th.
