At the opening meeting of the Fourth Session of the 13th CPPCC National Committee on March 4, the scene of Tai Lihua, a member of the CPPCC National Committee and head of the Chinese Art Troupe for the Disabled, and a sign interpreter "singing" the national anthem in sign language appeared on the social media hot search list.

Tai Lihua said in an interview with a reporter from China News Agency that night that he did not expect to receive such attention.

"When I participate in the two sessions every year, when the national anthem is played, I will silently recite every sentence of the national anthem in my heart, and use sign language to'sing' the national anthem with everyone."

The situation is different this year.

The "National Sign Language Program for the National Anthem of the People's Republic of China" was implemented on March 1. The refreshing "sign language version" of the national anthem gave Tai Lihua a special feeling.

She told reporters that the love, praise, and infinite attachment to the motherland have been deeply rooted in her heart since she can remember and understand; as she grows up, this kind of family and country feelings has increased day by day.

Today I use the National Sign Language Program to "sing" the national anthem, and I feel particularly happy and confident.

Tai Lihua introduced that the research and creation of the project was not completed overnight.

In June 2017, the Sign Language Committee of the China Association for the Deaf was commissioned by the China Disabled Persons’ Federation and the National Sign Language and Braille Research Center to initiate the research and creation of the sign language version of the national anthem.

At that time, the relevant team collected information about the national anthem in sign language and gestures from more than 50 different regions across the country.

Tai Lihua told reporters that sign language is different in many places, just like the local dialects, there are six or seven styles of play with the word "forward" alone.

Wherever Tai Lihua and the team went, they saw various sign languages "singing" the national anthem: some people hummed softly, some made passionate gestures, and some others murmured silently...

Tai Lihua deeply feels the great responsibility.

During the creation process, each sentence of the lyrics was repeatedly scrutinized to determine which words should be typed in accordance with the specifications and which words can be used in sign language based on specific conditions.

Tai Lihua recalled that although she was already familiar with the national anthem, it was difficult to keep up with the melody and the card points in the sign language rhythm.

In addition, the expression of emotions is also crucial, and should include love and respect for the motherland, etc.

As a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Tai Lihua has always been concerned about the education of disabled children.

In recent years, under the promotion of policies, various parts of China have actively solved the education problem of disabled children. This year Tai Lihua paid more attention to the quality of education.

Tai Lihua hopes that ordinary schools can formulate more comprehensive and systematic measures for children with disabilities, implement "one person, one case", and provide suitable education programs.

She believes that attention should be paid to the needs of disabled students to learn necessary cultural knowledge, and more attention should be paid to the development and diversified development of their potentials, and to enhance the social adaptability of disabled youths.

At the end of the interview, she repeatedly expressed her gratitude to everyone for their attention and support to the cause of the disabled.

Tai Lihua revealed that recently, she and her students have released a number of sign language songs on the short video platform to let more people understand the meaning of sign language; she hopes to build a communication platform for more friends and promote interpersonal communication. understanding.
