Schwerin (dpa / mv) - The state parliament and state government are discussing the implementation of the latest federal-state resolutions to deal with the corona crisis in Schwerin today.

In the morning (11.00 a.m.) Parliament will meet for another special session.

For the afternoon (4 p.m.), another virtual general meeting of the government with business and municipal associations is planned.

It should be about updating the Corona state ordinance.

In view of the recent increase in the number of infections, the federal and state governments agreed on Wednesday to continue the lockdown until March 28, but at the same time decided on a step-by-step plan for easing.

Accordingly, shops are allowed to reopen to customers from March 8th, regionally graduated according to seven-day incidence and in many places only after registration.

According to the retail association, the effort required for many retailers exceeds the expected benefit.

Around 200 affected people want to demonstrate in front of the seat of the state parliament in the morning for further opening options.

The protest is also supported by the tourism as well as the hotel and restaurant association, which have so far been denied concrete opening perspectives.
