"To appoint Oleg Sergeevich Malginov as the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Russia to the Republic of Uzbekistan," the document says.

By another decree, Vladimir Tyurdenev was dismissed from office.

Since 2016, Malginov served as head of the department for working with compatriots abroad.

Earlier, Putin appointed Yevgeny Stanislavov as the new Russian ambassador to Hungary.
