Rostock (dpa / mv) - The gourmet landscape in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is now one star richer than last year with nine Michelin stars.

In the German edition of the restaurant guide published on Friday, a new restaurant appears in Heringsdorf with “Kulmeck by Tom Wickboldt”.

This means that the Usedom town of Heringsdorf is represented twice on the list.

“The O'Room” also provides its guests with exquisite dishes there.

Seven other restaurants from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania appear in the exclusive Michelin list.

As in the previous year, these are the “Ostseelounge” Dierhagen, the “Friedrich Franz” in Heiligendamm, the “Old School - Classroom” in Feldberger Seenlandschaft, the “freustil” in Binz, “Der Butt” in Rostock-Warnemünde, “I know a Haus am See ”in Krakow am See and the“ Gutshaus Stolpe ”in Stolpe.

For the President of Dehoga Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lars Schwarz, the growing number of star restaurants is a reason to be happy.

"These are the gastronomic flagships for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and that is more than deserved," he said.

The industry doesn't need to hide at all with these lighthouses.
