Zuzenhausen (AP) - Bundesliga soccer club TSG 1899 Hoffenheim has prematurely extended the contract with offensive player Christoph Baumgartner by two years until June 30, 2025.

The 21-year-old Austrian moved from AKA St. Pölten to the Hoffenheim junior academy in summer 2017 and made his Bundesliga debut in the TSG jersey in May 2019.

Since then, Baumgartner has played 50 first division games in which he scored eleven goals.

"Christoph's development at TSG is an absolute success story for both sides and we are looking forward to further new chapters," said professional boss Alexander Rosen on Friday.
