Berlin (dpa / bb) - Deutsche Bahn is moving into the future office building in the Schöneberger Gasometer in Berlin as a tenant.
2000 employees are to drive the digitization of the group there by the end of 2023, according to a message from the project developer Euref.
800 of these jobs would be created.
Senator for Economic Affairs Ramona Pop (Greens) spoke of a big win for Berlin.
The gas storage facility in Schöneberg has been out of service for decades; in recent years the steel framework has served as an event location.
It became known nationwide through the political television discussion group "Günther Jauch".
An office skyscraper is now being built in the Gasometer.
