Hanover (dpa) - In the negotiations on the austerity course at the Tuifly airline, a breakthrough is emerging, according to information from the dpa.

From corporate circles it was said on Friday that an agreement between employers and unions was within reach in the afternoon.

If all professional groups are willing to accept significant cuts, the reduction in the aircraft fleet can be limited from 39 to 22 machines.

Originally Tuifly only wanted to keep 17 planes.

For Tui, the negotiations are a tightrope walk.

In view of the slump in the Corona crisis, the group has to cut jobs on the one hand, and investments must be made for the change to a digital tourism company on the other.
