Hamburg (dpa / lno) - Kevin Fehling remains with his Hamburg restaurant "The Table" in the Hafencity at the top of the star chefs in Hamburg.

As in previous years, it will be awarded three stars in the 2021 German edition of the “Guide Michelin” restaurant guide, as those responsible announced on Friday.

Only ten restaurants in Germany were able to enjoy the highest rating.

Despite the Covid 19 crisis, German gastronomy impressed with its first-class culinary level, it said.

A total of eight more Hamburg restaurants can boast stars in the new Michelin Guide, two fewer than last year.

Two restaurants have been awarded two stars: the "Bianc" and the "Haerlin".

The restaurants “100/200”, “Lakeside”, “Landhaus Scherrer”, “Petit Amour”, “Pimento” and “Se7en Oceans” each received one star.

Jacob's Restaurant, Süllberg - Seven Seas and Le Canard nouveau have lost their stars.

Because of the pandemic, the award ceremony was only digital.

The restaurants were tested outside of the lockdown time.

The restaurants are currently only in operation to a limited extent; traditional dining is not possible.

The first Michelin stars in Germany were awarded in 1966.
