The Turkish Foreign Ministry affirmed its rejection of all Arab League decisions targeting Turkey, including what it described as baseless allegations, while the Omani Foreign Minister affirmed that Arab countries did not intervene in Syria and Iraq because they were "unable."

The Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement yesterday, Thursday, that we reject all decisions that include baseless allegations targeting our country, which were issued by the meeting of Arab League ministers in Cairo on March 4.

The Foreign Ministry stressed Turkey's respect for the territorial integrity and political cohesion of the Arab countries, and its taking a constructive stance in order not to lead the region into more instability.

The statement pointed out that Turkey's efforts in this regard received the appreciation of the peoples of the Arab countries, adding that some Arab League countries accuse our country of false accusations, and they are nothing but futile attempts by them to cover up their destructive activities in the region.

The statement indicated that these countries not only ignored the human tragedies that some Arab countries are witnessing, but also play a role in their occurrence by supporting the regimes of some of those countries and the leaders of militias, racist groups and terrorist organizations.

In conclusion, the Foreign Ministry called on the Arab League to play a positive role in establishing security and stability in the region instead of its hostile stances towards Turkey.

The Arabs and Turkey

For his part, the Omani Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs Yusuf bin Alawi confirmed in a press conference at the conclusion of a meeting of Arab foreign ministers in Cairo that the Arab countries did not interfere in the crises of Syria and Iraq because they are unable to do so, which negatively affects the Arab image.

The Omani minister described the Turkish-Arab neighborhood as quarterly, subject to the fluctuations of governments between Turkey and the Arab countries, but it is not hostile in its essence, rather it is based on preserving interests, as he put it.

On another issue, Bin Alawi said that Muscat will do its best diplomatic efforts during its presidency of the current session of the Arab Ministerial Council to solve all Arab crises.

On the Gulf crisis, Bin Alawi said that the dispute is not a final dispute with Qatar, but rather a dispute within the same family.

He pointed out that the Emir of the State of Kuwait has made and is still making commendable efforts to resolve the dispute, and that there is improvement from time to time.
