Menden (dpa / lnw) - The T-shirt of a 71-year-old patient caught fire in the St. Vincenz Hospital in Menden in the Sauerland.
The man was transferred to a special clinic with life-threatening injuries, the police said on Friday.
The 71-year-old is said to have drawn attention to himself on Thursday evening with cries for help.
When nurses came into his room, the man's T-shirt was on fire.
According to the police, there was a lighter on the bed of the 71-year-old.
The police have started the investigation.
According to the current state of affairs, there is no third-party debt.
