Hanover (dpa / lni) - The state has ordered 3.2 million corona self-tests for Lower Saxony's schools in a first installment.

The tests are planned for two rounds before and after the Easter break, a spokesman for the Ministry of Culture in Hanover announced on request.

The staff and the students should be tested with it once a week.

The order is part of a batch of five million self-tests that the country has ordered.

The 1.8 million remaining tests are to be given to other state officials.

Teachers and students should practice using the self-tests in the last week of school before the Easter break.

After the holidays, further tests are planned on a weekly basis and on a case-by-case basis.
