Meppen (dpa / lni) - Young striker Ted Tattermusch will leave SV Meppen after this season and switch to Borussia Dortmund's reserve team.

The third division soccer team announced on Thursday.

The 19-year-old, whose father Reinhold also previously played for Lower Saxony, has played in all of the youth teams at JLZ Emsland since 2014 and has been part of the professional squad since summer 2019.

Tattermusch came nine times for the Emsländer in the 3rd division and scored one goal.

"We would have liked to keep Ted tied to the club," said Meppen sports director Heiner Beckmann.

«We know about the quality of Ted.

That's why we gave him the great opportunity to prove himself in the professional team. "

SVM coach Torsten Frings would have liked to have worked longer with the storm talent.

«He has a lot of potential.

So it is a shame that he is changing now.

But if the second team of a top Bundesliga club calls, we hardly have a chance to keep the young player, ”said Frings.
