Late on Wednesday evening, the police in Åre interrupted a party where, according to police information, more than a hundred people had gathered.

The event is described as a "home party" where the participants were both indoors and outdoors.

When the police arrived at the scene with several patrols, many of the participants must have run away from the scene.

And the party was then interrupted.

According to the police, no person is suspected of a crime. With reference to the corona pandemic, there is a temporary law which means that no more than eight people attend public gatherings and public events. If private gatherings are held in party rooms, association rooms and other places that are rented out, a maximum of eight people may participate. But there is no ban or legislation that prevents people from gathering in someone's home.
