A Canadian man who was born and never had a relationship has been convicted of rushing a vehicle into a crowd and inflicting 26 casualties, and is expected to face life in prison in an upcoming trial.

He usually joined and worked on several misogyny sites, and especially expressed his anger by calling himself'incel'.



Incell stands for'involuntary celibate', a common term referring to a man who wants to have sex with a woman but cannot, and is also used online as a term for misogynistic.



The word is also famous as a slang term used by shooter Elliot Roger, who killed six people by shooting a firearm near the University of California in Santa Barbara in 2014.



Roger complained that women at the time refused to woo him.



Just before the crime, Minsian even posted a post on social media saying, "Incell's rebellion has begun!"



Minathian's attorney has argued that he suffers from autism and has no criminal responsibility because he is a mentally injured person, but the court refused to accept it.



As his charges are convicted, Minsian is expected to face life in prison in an upcoming trial, and will not be able to parole for at least 25 years.



Toronto Mayor John Tory said of the Minasian trial, "Three years ago, our citizens were shocked by the heinous acts of violence. This incident was a case of hatred toward women."
