Television host Michel Drucker will find, at the age of 78 and after a heavy heart operation, his star show "Vivement Dimanche" at the end of March, according to an interview in Le Parisien on Thursday.

"Those who do not know the job say that I come back too soon. I will prove them the opposite", affirms the host of France 2, adding that he has "three weeks of rehabilitation left to be at the top".

He underwent triple coronary bypass surgery in September.

He would also have come close to an amputation of his left leg following a bacterial infection, according to the newspaper, which met him at the Gabriel studio, where "Vivement dimanche" is filmed.

The presenter, known for his very healthy lifestyle and love of cycling, has always said he doesn't intend to stop.

The public service, which had confirmed that it would remain on the air, gave the green light for the shooting of "Vivement Dimanche" on March 24, followed by a broadcast on the 28th.

He will be surrounded for the occasion by comedians regularly invited on his show, such as Gad Elmaleh, Anne Roumanoff or Laurent Gerra.

To prepare, he explains that he indulges in "an hour and a half of sport in the morning and a nap in the afternoon".

A book, "It will be better tomorrow", recounting the "six months of nightmare" he went through, will be released at the end of April.
