Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - In Saxony-Anhalt, certain general practitioners can now also vaccinate against the corona virus.
The Ministry of Health has given the vaccination centers the opportunity to carry out the Covid-19 vaccinations in contracted doctor's practices.
The ministry announced this on Thursday in Magdeburg.
"We are now starting to build an important third pillar in addition to the vaccination centers and the mobile teams," said Health Minister Petra Grimm-Benne (SPD).
This was preceded by talks with the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians.
According to this, the vaccination centers can determine selected contract doctor practices.
The practices should be treated like mobile vaccination teams.
This means that they are supplied with vaccine and vaccination accessories from the vaccination centers.
According to the information, the vaccination centers have to ensure compliance with the requirements for the transport of the vaccine.
In addition, the vaccination centers are responsible for ensuring that the vaccinations are properly documented and that the data are transmitted to the Robert Koch Institute and the country.
