Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - IG Metall's plans for a “digital warning strike” in the coming week are arousing the anger of employers.

Because the action is already scheduled for the time after the next round of negotiations, Südwestmetall boss Wilfried Porth accused the union on Thursday of apparently not being interested in a solution to the collective bargaining conflict or at least in progress.

“Instead of looking for solutions with us at the negotiating table, IG Metall prefers to plan a digital strike and live cooking with the district manager.

I don't understand that, ”Porth grumbled in a message.

He called the fact that the action was planned for March 12, although another round of negotiations is due on March 9, "particularly strange".

The previous three rounds have all remained without result.

IG Metall has been calling for warning strikes since last Tuesday.

"If need be, we have a lot of staying power and are able to let the metal and electrical wage negotiations go on until there is a good deal," says the announcement of the "digital warning strike".
