Cologne (dpa / lnw) - A drunk car driver crashed into a concrete wall in Cologne while fleeing from the police.
The police wanted to stop the man at night, the 33-year-old fled and hit the wall, as the officials announced on Thursday.
The car is therefore a total write-off.
However, the man was unharmed and tried to continue his escape on foot.
A few meters from the scene of the accident, the police caught the man.
He was heavily drunk and was taken to a hospital, it said.
His driver's license had been confiscated, and he would also have to expect a report.
