Erfurt (dpa / th) - The three chambers of industry and commerce in Thuringia have criticized the results of the federal-state consultation on how to proceed in the corona pandemic.

"Another chance was wasted to allow people and the economy to take responsibility," criticized the IHK presidents Ralf-Uwe Bauer, Dieter Bauhaus and Peter Traut in a joint statement on Thursday.

"Saving perspectives are missing," it says.

Retail, hotel, catering and event management are unlikely to open despite high investments in hygiene concepts.

"Many companies are now losing hope and will soon also lose their livelihood," declared the chamber chiefs.

After the conference, Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow (left) made it clear that Thuringia, with the highest seven-day incidence per 100,000 inhabitants in Germany, “could not be a pioneer in the strategy of opening up”.

On Friday this value was 127.5 on Thursday.

There have been easing in Thuringia since Monday for hairdressers, horticultural companies and flower shops, which were allowed to reopen after a three-month lockdown.

From the point of view of the IHK presidents, the opening of selected sectors cannot be explained with logic.

This also leads to massive disenchantment with politics.
