Aue (AP) - Trainer Dirk Schuster from FC Erzgebirge Aue is aiming for three points with his team in the club's anniversary week.

The Saxons are celebrating their 75th club birthday and will play their 500th game in the 2nd Bundesliga against Hannover 96 on Saturday (1 p.m. / Sky)

“It is a highlight that two such anniversaries coincide.

I'm incredibly proud to be able to play the 500th second division game with the team and my coaching team.

I hope we can deliver, ”said Schuster at the press conference on Thursday.

Although the two table neighbors from midfield are only separated by two points, the 53-year-old sees the Auer as an outsider.

“Hanover is above us in the table, they were active in the Bundesliga for years and they have players in their ranks who could play in the top division.

In addition, they are economically a different number than FC Erzgebirge.

That's why I see Hannover 96 as a favorite, ”said Schuster.

The benchmark for his team should be the last home appearance against VfL Bochum.

“We managed to beat a team from the very top and did a lot right.

We want to bring this approach back to the field on Saturday, ”said the coach.

After Auer's view of several controversial decisions by the video assistant in the last defeat in Kiel, Schuster is hoping for more luck against Hanover: “We want to point out that it was not the first time for us that certain things with the VAR didn't work as we would have liked and imagined.

But in the end we can't influence that anyway. "
