Oberstdorf (dpa) - The ski jumpers celebrate a premiere at the Nordic World Cup in Oberstdorf on Wednesday.

For the first time at a world championship they will be holding a competition from the large hill (5.15 p.m. / ZDF and Eurosport).

The German team Katharina Althaus, who won the gold medal with the mixed team on Sunday, has the best chances of a podium place.

However, the Allgäu woman is not one of the top favorites.

For cross-country skiers, the 15-kilometer race in free technique is on the program beforehand (1:15 p.m. / ZDF and Eurosport).

In the battle for the medals, the Russian Alexander Bolschunow and several strong Norwegians have the best chances.
