Saarbrücken (dpa / lrs) - After the fourth win in a row, 1. FC Saarbrücken is heavily involved in the promotion of the 3rd football league.
The promoted team won the catch-up game against MSV Duisburg 4-1 (1-0) on Wednesday and moved up to fifth in the table with 43 points.
The gap to the promotion relegation place is only two points, to the first direct promotion place it is only four points.
Julian Günther-Schmidt brought the Saarlanders into the lead in the 45th minute, which Moritz Stoppelkamp (52nd) equalized after the restart.
Kianz Froese (60th) shot the home side forward again before Minos Gouras made the decision with a brace (67th / 71st).
Next Saturday the FCS receives the KFC Uerdingen.
