The Paris Bourse advanced 0.35% on Wednesday, recovering at the end of the session after a slump in the afternoon against a backdrop of rising sovereign yields.

The CAC 40 index advanced 20.33 points to end at 5,830.06 points, while the interest rate on French ten-year debt rose to -0.045%.

"The bullish move in sovereign yields put pressure on equities" across Europe, said David Madden, analyst for CMC Markets UK.

The Parisian market, just like London and Frankfurt, finally benefited from a movement of optimism linked to the prospects for economic recovery.

In terms of values, the Duval family, first shareholder of the metallurgical and mining group Eramet (-1.73% to 63.72 euros), wrote to the State, second shareholder, "to request the departure of CEO Christel Bories", a source close to the matter told AFP on Wednesday, confirming information from L'Agefi.

Stellantis lost 0.22% to 13.86 euros after the publication of the annual results of PSA and Fiat Chrysler (FCA) which remained profitable despite the crisis in the automotive sector.

Its competitor Renault has remained at the top of the CAC 40 (+ 5.21% to 39.37 euros).

Danone lost 1.43% to 55.32 euros while investment funds, which have been asking for the departure of CEO Emmanuel Faber for several weeks, deplore in letters consulted on Wednesday by AFP his retention in the presidency decided by council of administration Monday.
