A third of chestnut trees in Île-de-France are said to be affected by ink disease and hundreds will have to be cut down.

Invited Wednesday on Europe 1, Thierry Gauquelin, researcher at the Mediterranean Institute of Biodiversity and Ecology of the University of Aix-Marseille, explains in particular that this disease "is spread by the ground".
