German cross-country skiers over 15 kilometers tend not to have that.

After the Nordic combined women’s World Cup premiere, the jumpers will also make a debut in Oberstdorf.

For the first time, Katharina Althaus and Co. are taking part in the world championships on the large hill.

With increasing form and the self-confidence from the gold triumph in the mixed team on Sunday, Althaus has outsider chances of a medal.

The top favorites, however, are others: for example the Austrian Marita Kramer, Sara Takanashi from Japan or the two Slovenians Ema Klinec and Nika Kriznar.

In the battle for gold, there is a lot to be said for Russia versus Norway before the men's race over 15 kilometers.

Overall World Cup leader Alexander Bolschunow already impressively demonstrated in the skiathlon that he can compete with five strong Scandinavians.

This time, too, several athletes from the Norwegians are possible challengers.

The German cross-country skiers are only outsiders in this race.

For the team of team boss Peter Schlickenrieder, things have been anything but satisfactory at the home World Cup so far.
