Regarding the subsidy system for parents who had to take a break from work due to the temporary closure of schools nationwide last year, the government has been unable to receive subsidies one after another because companies do not apply. Therefore, we have decided to revise the policy so that you can receive it by applying by yourself.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare established a subsidy system in March last year to support parents who had to take time off from work due to the temporary closure of the new coronavirus, and provided a subsidy of up to 15,000 yen per day. I am.

However, there are a number of cases where the subsidy cannot be received because the company does not apply, and the payment so far has been limited to about 30% of the budget.

For this reason, the government has decided to revise the system so that parents can receive the benefits if they apply, even if there is no application from the company.

Specifically, we will take advantage of the "leave support fund" system to support people who are not paid the leave allowance even though they have taken a break according to the instructions of the company, and receive the application of the person and actually take a break from work. By confirming that with the company, it will be possible to provide subsidies.

The government is proceeding with detailed institutional design and will announce it soon.
