Memorandum of Understanding to facilitate the organization of special events for non-Muslims

The Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Community Development to facilitate the organization of special events held in places of worship for non-Muslims, in accordance with the terms and conditions for licensing and establishing places of worship in the emirate.

According to the memorandum of understanding, signed by the Undersecretary of the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi Saud Abdul Aziz Al Hosani, and the Undersecretary of the Department of Community Development, Engineer Hamad Ali Al Dhaheri, the Department of Community Development will be able to access the event licensing system, the unified and integrated platform managed by the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi and the private Of events organized in Abu Dhabi, with the aim of facilitating procedures for event registration and licensing.

The Memorandum of Understanding will contribute to strengthening communication and cooperation between the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi and the Department of Community Development, by using the modern system to coordinate the management and organization of private events, including licenses for activities of private places of worship for non-Muslims.

The agreement will also see the establishment of a joint committee between the two institutions to oversee the new system and ensure its success.
