Stade Rennes chose Bruno Genesio, former OL coach, to succeed Julien Stéphan who has resigned, a source close to the club said on Wednesday, confirming information from the daily L'Equipe.
The Breton club announced Monday the resignation of its coach and since the name of Bruno Genesio circulated in the media as the first choice to succeed him.
The former midfielder, born in Lyon, notably coached OL from 2015 to 2019, before an experience in China at Beijing Guoan (2019-2021).
Rennes faces Lyon in the league on Wednesday evening.
