Berlin (dpa) - Hertha BSC does not want to comment on a possible commitment by Fredi Bobic as the new manager at the moment.

“According to the statutes, filling the position of Managing Director Sport at Hertha BSC is the responsibility of the Presidium.

A staff committee has been set up to carry out the process.

There is nothing more to say at the moment, as it is an ongoing process, ”said the Berlin Bundesliga club.

On Tuesday evening, Bobic announced on ARD that he would leave Eintracht Frankfurt as sports director early in the summer after five years.

However, he had not commented on a possible engagement in Berlin.

The 49-year-old is considered Hertha’s preferred candidate to succeed the manager Michael Preetz, who was on leave in January.
