On Tuesday, about a hundred police officers and government officials were on the streets of Malmö.

The operation was called Operation Solvind and aimed to control people on the streets and in vehicles in different places in Malmö.

The operation resulted in, among other things, the detention of nine people and the seizure of half a kilo of drugs.

"An opportunity to talk to us"

Nils Norling, the police's press spokesperson in the Malmö police area, was pleased with the effort.

- You can look back at other similar efforts we have had where we seized more weapons and larger amounts of drugs, but for our part we see it rather as a bonus if we make large seizures. The important thing for us in this type of operation is that we are out there and give people an opportunity to talk to us, says Nils Norling, the police's press spokesperson in the Malmö police area.
