03 March 2021 "It seems to me that all of Italy, except Sardinia, is approaching with long strides towards the red zone. Lombardy, for what it has been through in recent months, is more vulnerable than other regions, but I'm not worried for this region, more than for others. It is out of the question that we need to vaccinate. We can do much more than what we are already doing in this situation. We need to go to Brussels to beat our fists ".

This was stated by Guido Bertolaso, consultant to the president of the Lombardy Region, Attilio Fontana for the Vaccinal Plan, speaking at a press conference at Palazzo Pirelli.

"We have extremely worrying statistics of the epidemiological trend. We have a couple of provinces that are in the red zone to all intents and purposes. At the hospital in Fiera we have 57 patients in intensive care, while at the Brescia hospital there are 30".

On vaccines "you have to run and face a whole series of problems. You have to go to Brussels, you have to beat your fists on the table, it takes a bit of positive aggression to understand why vaccines, for example, go to Dubai" instead of Italy.

The Lombardy Region consultant said

Lombardy, 170,000 per day, 6.6 million target mass

Lombardy expects to carry out 170,000 vaccinations per day, reaching at least 6.6 million people, out of the 10.2 million resident citizens.

It is the target indicated for mass vaccination by the vice president and councilor for Welfare Letizia Moratti, in the press conference.

"The massive centers will guarantee 140 thousand vaccinations a day, in addition to 30 thousand vaccinations in private facilities, hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, companies and more".

"We then decided to join Poste Italiane's proposal and to use their platform free of charge, which provides four different options for joining and booking: portal, call center, post offices and postmen".
