Bonn (dpa / lnw) - After the discovery of a burned body in a forest near Eitorf, two defendants will have to answer before the Bonn district court from today (9.15 a.m.)

The two 19 and 29 year old men are charged with manslaughter.

According to the indictment, the two men are said to have tortured and killed the victim after an argument.

Among other things, they are said to have hit the 46-year-old on the head with a heavy branch, rammed a broken beer bottle into his stomach and smashed his face with a shovel.

Then the duo is said to have brought the corpse into a dry stream, poured alcohol over the head and set it on fire.

The dead was covered with branches.

On August 2, 2020, a jogger noticed the smell of the corpse and alerted the police.

The trigger for the dispute is said to have been that the 46-year-old should have thrown the shoes of the two defendants into a campfire.

All three belonged to the drug scene and had met in the forest that evening to spend the night in a mattress camp.
