Today, Wednesday, the Houthi group considered that the US sanctions, which targeted two of its leaders recently, will prolong the war and exacerbate the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.

The Houthi spokesman, Muhammad Abdul Salam, said in a tweet that the United States talks about peace and then imposes more sanctions, instead of contributing to "stopping the aggression," referring to the raids of the Saudi-led coalition.

And Abdel Salam considered that these sanctions are the reason for "prolonging the war and exacerbating the humanitarian crisis."

America made more statements about peace and then went to what it claims to impose sanctions. Therefore, it condemns itself that it is not in the process of stopping the aggression and lifting the siege on Yemen and that it is behind the prolongation of the war and the exacerbation of the humanitarian crisis.

On Tuesday, the United States announced the imposition of sanctions on the Houthi leaders Mansour Al-Saadi and Ahmed Al-Hamzi, and the Treasury Department said that they were responsible for attacks targeting civilians, neighboring countries, and commercial ships in international waters.

The ministry considered that these actions aimed to support Iran's destabilizing agenda, fueling the conflict in Yemen and pushing it to the brink of famine.

In turn, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that these measures come in response to the behavior of the Houthis, who have deepened the humanitarian crisis for the Yemeni people.
