Nuremberg (dpa / lby) - 1. FC Nuremberg has made two perspective decisions for the position of the substitute goalkeeper.

Patric Klandt's contract, which expired in the summer, was extended, as the second division soccer team announced on Wednesday.

The 32-year-old is in his third season in Franconia after joining SC Freiburg in 2018.

Klandt is number three at the «Club» behind Christian Mathenia and Christian Früchtl.

«Patric fully accepted the role as the third goalkeeper.

He will also wear this in the coming season, ”said sports director Dieter Hecking.

On the other hand, Andreas Lukse has to go as the fourth goalkeeper after this season;

his contract will not be renewed.

The 33-year-old Austrian came to Nuremberg in 2019.

Hecking said: “It was important to us to give both of them planning security at an early stage.

It was also clear that we could not extend both contracts ».
