“To date, more than 286 thousand servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces have undergone voluntary vaccination with the first component of the Sputnik V vaccine,” RIA Novosti reports.
The Ministry of Defense clarified that in preparation for the parade dedicated to the 76th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, voluntary vaccination of servicemen of parade crews is also continuing.
As noted, all immunization activities for military personnel from the foot and mechanized columns will be completed by March 25.
Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the military are helping to combat the spread of COVID-19 in 43 Russian regions.
