Munich (dpa / lby) - Two weeks after a fire in a Munich student residence hall, a 23-year-old woman who was injured died.

As the police announced on Tuesday, the student died on Monday as a result of her severe smoke inhalation.

After the fire in the early morning of February 16, the local woman was resuscitated.

A 28-year-old resident of the home in the Freimann district had also suffered severe smoke inhalation and was at times in mortal danger.

Many residents were able to get themselves to safety from the flames.

The fire had broken out in the sauna in the basement of the dormitory.

The rooms burned out completely.

The cause is still unclear.
